Obituary: Remembering Coy Hayes of IT Services

Coy Hayes, 28, died on Saturday, Aug. 20, after battling cancer. Born in Fayetteville, Ark., in 1983, Coy started working for the University of Arkansas as an Information Technology Services Lab Operator in 2010. In February of 2011, he was hired part time in the IT Services Help Desk. Even after his diagnosis, his only concern was getting back to work. He loved his job, and his supervisor reports that his work ethic was impeccable.

Coy was a member of the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, and he graduated from Prairie Grove High School. He is survived by his parents, Lyle and Sherrie Hayes of Lincoln, his brother Chad, and his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
