Supervisor Development Program Begins Sept. 13

The Supervisor Development Program is offered semiannually by the Human Resources, Employee Development Program in an effort to respond to new supervisors’ training needs quickly and effectively. The goal of the Supervisor Development Program is to promote excellence in selecting and managing the university’s workforce. The curriculum is designed to educate participants about the skills, knowledge and resources needed to be effective in leading and coaching other employees, while maintaining compliance with federal and state laws and with university procedures.

The fall session of the Supervisor Development Program begins Sept. 13.  The program consists of over 50 hours of classroom participation (10 four-hour sessions meeting each Tuesday through Nov. 29 and five additional sessions to be attended outside the Supervisor Development Program format.) Topics include sessions on benefits, worker's compensation, fraud prevention, foundations of supervision and much more.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Aria Andrus at 575-4432 or amandrus@uark.edu to obtain an application.
