Mullins Library Adds Group Study Space
Students work on a project in one of the library's new study areas
Nestled among the books of Mullins Library, students can often be found studying, discussing projects, or taking a break from the hectic life that is college. This past summer, Mullins Library took a big step toward making it easier for students and faculty to study, work in groups, and relax by adding tables, chairs and white boards on Level 4.
Now there are more areas where students can meet and talk without having to whisper. This popular study location has new chairs, tables, and white boards that overlook the Central Quad between the library and the Arkansas Union. The furniture arrangement is meant to foster group discussion. The library has markers and erasers available for check out at the service desk on Level 2.
For those looking for a quiet place to study, the library recommends the Lindley and Kaneaster Hodges Jr. Reading Room on Level 2, the Helen Robson Walton Reading Room on Level 2, and the study areas on Level 3.
