Deadline Approaches for Students Using Financial Aid to Apply for Correspondence Courses
University of Arkansas students who plan to use financial aid funding to pay for correspondence courses offered through the university Global Campus must apply before 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25.
Other rules and deadlines apply for students who do not use financial aid to pay for correspondence courses.
Colleges and schools at the University of Arkansas offer college credit through these print-based and Web-based correspondence courses in human environmental science, anthropology, criminal justice, drama, economics, English, foreign languages, geography, history, journalism, math, philosophy, political science, psychology, social work, sociology, curriculum and instruction, and community health promotion.
Students who want to count correspondence courses for credit toward University of Arkansas degrees must obtain the appropriate signatures from their colleges on the Independent Study applications. A student must be enrolled in 6 credit hours on campus before he or she can enroll in Independent Study using financial aid.
