Sean Connors

Sean Connors, assistant professor of English education at the University of Arkansas, was named a runner-up for the 2011 M. Thomas Inge Award for Comics Scholarship.

Connors was recognized for a paper he wrote and presented at the joint convention of the Popular Culture Association and the American Culture Association in San Antonio in April. Connors, who joined the faculty of the College of Education and Health Professions last year, wrote about "Reading Images: Deconstructing the Visual Design of Graphic Novels."
