New Course for Fall: The Moral Mind in Action

A new course, The Moral Mind in Action, is being offered this fall by John Pijanowski, associate professor of educational leadership at the University of Arkansas.

The course will be offered for graduate or undergraduate credit: CIED 4433, section 001, in person on Monday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. in room 318 of Peabody Hall.

This course is designed to help students become more aware of moral dilemmas they may face, introduce them to research-based strategies for effectively reasoning through moral dilemmas, and support them with guided practice in reflecting upon, and improving, the way they think through moral problems. Those ideas are explored through dilemma discussion using real-life and fictional scenarios and a theoretical foundation drawn from the fields of moral psychology and behavioral economics.
