Major Software and Hardware Upgrades to UA Mail

Information Technology Services will perform major upgrades to UA Mail at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 16, in continuing efforts to improve the user email experience. UA Mail will be unavailable for up to three hours while new hardware and software is installed.

Improvements to UA Mail include faster server hardware, upgraded software, and a new look and feel. The new server will offer a significant increase in speed and more memory allocated for caching, providing faster performance after the user's first login. Some of the new UA Mail software features include an intuitive user interface, thumbnail previews of attached images, horizontal and vertical preview layout choices, and a smartphone interface.
