Paper Named One of Top Three in Communication Theory and Methodology

The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication has selected a paper by Robert Wicks and colleagues as one of the Top Three Papers in Communication Theory and Methodology to be presented at the organization’s annual conference in St. Louis in August.

Wicks, a professor of communication and adjunct professor of political science, is director of the Center for Communication and Media Research at the University of Arkansas. He and colleagues Glenn M. Leshner and Esther L. Thorson, both of the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri, submitted a paper titled "Experimental Methodology in Journalism and Mass Communication Research" to the conference judges. By examining problems that are often encountered in social science and communication studies, the paper aims to help researchers construct methodologically sound and statistically valid experiments.
