Graduate School Announces 2011 Collis R. Geren Awards for Excellence in Graduate Education

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Todd G. Shields, interim dean of the Graduate School and International Education, awarded 2011 Collis R. Geren awards for excellence in graduate education. The awards were initiated in April 2010 in honor of Collis R. Geren, who retired as dean of the Graduate School and vice provost for research. The awards are given to recognize exceptional commitment to graduate education.

  • The awards were presented to: University Faculty Award to Luke Parsch, associate professor of agricultural economics and agribusiness.
  • University Staff Award to Jo Ann Pepper, financial systems coordinator, treasurer's office.
  • Graduate School Staff Award to Patricia Koski, associate dean of the Graduate School and International Education.

In recognizing this year's award recipients, Shields noted their unceasing work on behalf of graduate students, and expressed the appreciation of all the Graduate School staff. The awards were presented at the Graduate School and International Education Graduate School cookout on Thursday, April 28.
