Italian Agricultural Award Presented to Professor in Chemical Engineering

Professor Jerry King of the department of chemical engineering in the College of Engineering was recognized in April by the Accademia Economico-Agraria dei Georgofili in Firenze, Italy, for his contributions to the science and technology of processing foods and agricultural materials. King has been in an academic foreign corresponding member of the society since 1994; he is one of 77 foreign corresponding members of the society and one of only five from the United States. The award was made at the society’s headquarters at the Accademia dei Georgofili in the Plaza of the Uffizi-Florence.
