Adam Morris has joined the department of industrial engineering as assistant director of operations management. The largest graduate program at the University of Arkansas, the Master of Science in Operations Management is a live and distance program geared toward the working student who typically holds a professional or management position in an organizational setting.

As assistant director, Morris will be overseeing the budget, admissions, advising and other aspects of the program. He has several years of administrative and teaching experience from other universities where he has managed both on-site and remote personnel, major projects such as system conversions, and key functions such as registration and enrollment. Before coming to the University of Arkansas, he taught business at Crowder College in Neosho, Mo.

“We are very pleased to have Adam join the operations management team,” said Ed Pohl, director of the operations management program. “His skills and experience in education and administration will be an asset to our program.”

Morris earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Newman University, and a master's degree in management from Friends University. In 2008, he completed his doctorate in higher education from the University of Arkansas.
