FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Molly Rawn has been named director of major gifts and membership for KUAF 91.3 FM, the National Public Radio affiliate at the University of Arkansas. In this role, Rawn will be responsible for raising private support through major gifts and membership drives for the ongoing efforts of the station, building on the recent $1.5 million On the Move Capital Campaign to raise funds for the construction of the new 7,500-square-foot Carver Center for Public Radio.

“As a graduate of the University of Arkansas, becoming a part of the university development team feels like coming home,” said Rawn. “I am a longtime KUAF listener, and I look forward to helping the station continue its important service to the northwest Arkansas community.”

KUAF is a part of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. Rawn reports to Dina Wood, director of development for Fulbright College.

“Molly is an experienced fundraising professional and membership director,” said Wood. “Her impressive background and record of accomplishments position her well to promote and expand KUAF membership and major gift programs.”

“KUAF has entered an important, even dynamic, time,” Wood continued. “The new station is state-of-the-art; listeners are more engaged; and, financial resources are carefully budgeted. The program is a great investment, and Molly will ensure that listener and benefactor voices are heard as we enter into our next phase of development.”

Before joining the University of Arkansas family, Rawn was the development director at the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter. She was the first person in this position and was responsible for building the shelter’s development operation from the ground up. Her duties included developing levels of giving, cultivating relationships with prospective donors, drafting grant proposals, managing volunteer fundraisers, implementing communication strategies and representing the organization to outside civic groups and community councils. She has also held leadership positions for the Arkansas chapter of the Sierra Club.

Rawn is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Southern States Communication Association. She has extensive community experience, including volunteer roles working with the United Way of Northwest Arkansas, the League of Women Voters of Washington County and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Rawn holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from the University of Arkansas.
