Floodplain Lake Workshop Takes Place Friday through Sunday

The PAGES International Floodplain Lake Workshop is taking place Friday through Sunday, Sept. 17-19, at the University of Arkansas. Presentations will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Giffels Auditorium in Old Main.

The workshops are free and open to the public. After that, the presentations will be at the McIlroy Room in the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Topics include floodplain lakes and agriculture, management of floodplain lakes, the evolution of floodplain lakes and techniques for studying floodplain lakes. There will be 30 participants from six countries presenting research at the conference
