Wanted: The Public’s Impression of the University of Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Survey Research Center is calling people in Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas seeking their impressions of the University of Arkansas.

Survey respondents are being called at random and will be asked to answer questions about higher education, their impression of the university and what sources they typically go to when seeking information about colleges and universities. The information will help the university better understand public perception about the university and help shape the ways in which the university responds to the needs of various audiences.

“The survey is will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and the answers will provide us with some very valuable data,” said Molly Longstreth, director of the Survey Research Center. “Since our call sometimes appears on Caller ID as being from an unknown or unfamiliar number, letting the public know that we’re seeking opinions and information generally increases participation. Our hope is that everyone who gets a call will take the time to respond.”

The Survey Research Center is using a sample of randomly generated phone numbers reaching both land-lines and mobile phones.
