Laura Akin, Beta Alpha Psi chapter president and Walton College Outstanding Graduating Senior accepted the Gold Status award at the annual meeting in San Jose, Calif.
The University of Arkansas Alpha Iota chapter of the Accounting and Information Professional Honor Society, Beta Alpha Psi, was recognized as a Gold Status chapter at the annual meeting in San Jose, Calif., on Aug. 7.
In addition to being named a Superior Chapter, for the second year in a row the Walton College students were recognized as one of the 14 top chapters in the world when they were awarded Gold Status. Beta Alpha Psi was also named as the outstanding registered student organization at the University of Arkansas during the 2009-10 academic year.
Attending the meeting were eight Walton College students: Laura Akin, Paige Gray, Cassie Drake, Merideth Moser, Colin O'Donnel, Grace Santamaria, Lindy Milburn, Molly Middlekauph and the faculty adviser, Charles Leflar.
