School of Social Work Faculty Members, Christy-McMullin and Shobe Tagged as National Leaders

Drs. Kameri Christy-McMullin and Marcia Shobe were invited, along with 40 other researchers and policy practitioners, by the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Community Services, to participate in their national Research Forum titled "Advancing the Asset Building Research Agenda." Invitees to this forum are recognized as national leaders in this field. Christy-McMullin and Shobe also presented research findings from their longitudinal study on well-being outcomes for low-income and low-wealth individuals. The title of their presentation was "Well-being of Arkansas and New Mexico Participants: A longitudinal study." This research project is currently in its fifth year of funding from the Ford Foundation (2006-present).
