New ISIS Login Procedure Established

In a move toward increasing security on campus databases, state legislative auditors are requiring new safeguards be placed in the ISIS login process. As a result, faculty and staff users of ISIS will need a new password to access the system effective July 31. Instead of requiring the same log-in information as many other UARK systems, administrative users will have to set a separate password in ISIS. All User IDs will stay the same.

Please note that this change affects only faculty and staff members with ISIS accounts. Student users will see no change.

These new safeguards require users to be locked out of ISIS after five (5) consecutive failed log-in attempts. These attempts can occur at one time or over the course of weeks and must be consecutive. In order to have an account unlocked, the faculty or staff member will be required to contact the IT Services Help Desk for assistance.

A detailed e-mail will be sent to all ISIS administrative users' UARK accounts this week with a temporary password following on Saturday. Please note that graduate students with class roster access and staff members who are also students will be required to set a new ISIS password.

IT Services Help Desk hours are from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday. If you have any questions regarding the new procedure please contact the Help Desk at 479-575-2905 or e-mail isishelp@uark.edu.
