Kinesiology Student Receives Scholarship from National Association
Brittany Widman, a master's student in the athletic training education program at the University of Arkansas, has been awarded a $2,300 scholarship from the National Athletic Trainers Association.
Widman, of Blaine, Minn., is starting her second year of the graduate program. She will be recognized at a breakfast to be held in June during the association's 60th Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposia in Philadelphia.
The notification Widman received described her as an outstanding student member of the association. She was one of 56 students from across the country who received the scholarship, said Jeff Bonacci, director of the athletic training education program. The program is based in the university's College of Education and Health Professions.
