Global Campus Offers Sustainability Classes Online

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Global Campus now offers 10 noncredit green education and sustainability courses and certificates online as a part of the university’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability.

The university launched a long-range, comprehensive and coordinated sustainability effort in January 2008 and made plans to reduce its environmental impact and neutralize its carbon footprint. One way to achieve that goal is through the community education about sustainability and environmental issues. The Global Campus recently established noncredit online sustainability education courses through a partnership with JER Group Inc., which developed the certificate programs and courses.

Online certificate programs offered through the Global Campus include:

  • Certified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater
  • Certified Preparer of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans
