Davis Fleming Wins NATS Competition

Davis Fleming, a freshman honors student majoring in vocal performance and pre-medicine, won first place in the freshman men's division of the 2010 Arkansas National Teachers of Singing competition which took place at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia on Feb. 27. There were approximately 200 Arkansas vocal students participating in the competition.

Davis is a native of Little Rock, the son of Paul and Ginger Fleming, and a graduate of Little Rock Central High School.  He is a member of Schola Cantorum and the Opera Theatre at the University of Arkansas. He was this year's soloist for the Arkansas Military Academies Ball. He has performed with the Chotard Institute of Music, received the Governor's Musical Excellence Award for exceptional musical talent throughout his high school career, and was chosen as first chair in both All Region and All State Choir Events.
