'Diversity Impact' Brings Prospective Students to Campus

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The largest minority recruiting event of the year is expected to bring dozens of prospective students to the University of Arkansas for a two-day introduction to the campus.

Diversity Impact is a combined effort by the Office of Admissions, University Housing and the Multicultural Center. The students are welcomed to campus Thursday evening, Feb. 18, and spend Friday and Saturday touring the campus, meeting with faculty, talking with current students and learning about scholarship and financial aid opportunities.

“Diversity Impact is the perfect opportunity for prospective students to experience campus life and learn about the numerous academic programs the University of Arkansas has to offer,” said Cedric Kenner, director of the Multicultural Center.

The students will take part in a College Fair from 2:15 to 3 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development, followed by sessions focusing on ACT test preparation, the college admissions procedure and other issues.

The students will also have the opportunity to tour the Fayetteville community Saturday morning.

Diversity Impact is an annual recruiting event scheduled to coincide with Black History Month at the University of Arkansas.
