Survey to Capture Students’ Opinions About University

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas is always striving to improve student learning and living, and student feedback is crucial to this goal.

The university is again participating in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). This is the first time in three years that the survey will be used on campus. The survey is designed to gather information from freshmen and seniors about their college experiences, both in and out of the classroom. The results of the survey will allow the university to evaluate and compare the experiences of University of Arkansas students with students throughout the country.

Because the impact of the survey is so great, it is important that each student voice be heard. If enough students participate, the results can effect changes at the university that will improve the quality of education for Arkansas students in addition to helping the campus further demonstrate the value of an education at the University of Arkansas.

“The questions are easy and the impact is great. Let your voice be heard,” said Danny Pugh, vice provost and dean of students. “This is a rewarding opportunity for students to make a difference in the future of their university.”

Although the survey is open until June 1, students who complete the survey by March 26 will have their name entered into a drawing for one of about 20 iTunes cards worth $50 each. This survey is administered at the University of Arkansas every three years.

The survey can be found at http://www.nssesurvey.org. Students who were invited to participate will have an email from NSSE with the login information.
