University of Arkansas to Hold 2004 "Ready Razorback"

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The University of Arkansas will welcome prospective students to campus at "Ready Razorback," Saturday, April 17. Registration begins at 10 a.m. at Bud Walton Arena and includes a full day of events highlighting the university and its commitment to future students.

"This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in the U of A to tour the campus, meet with faculty and students, and experience what the university has to offer," said Dawn Medley, director of admissions. "These students will have the chance to speak with faculty and staff about the U of A and find out about the college experience."

"Ready Razorback" attracts students from all four corners of Arkansas and surrounding states. Currently, more than 500 students along with family and friends are registered.

"We’re excited about this event because it allows us to provide an overview of the university and the outstanding opportunities that are available," Medley said. "This is an excellent time for high school juniors to visit the campus to learn about the admission process, financial aid, scholarships, and our programs of study."

Below is the schedule of events for "Ready Razorback:"

10a.m. - 11:30 am. - Registration and departmental information fair at Bud Walton Arena
11:30 a.m. -Opening Session
12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - UA campus tour
2:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. - Student Services, Financial Aid, and Residence Life sessions
