New Development Director Named

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Kellie Knight has served as the assistant director of development in the University of Arkansas College of Engineering since October 2002, and was recently named the director of development for the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. Knight worked as a scholarship and endowment officer for the College of Engineering prior to beginning her career in fund raising.

“We are thrilled with Kellie’s decision to accept this position,” said Mark Power, executive director of University Development. “With her background in fund raising, particularly here at the U of A, she will be a definite asset to the Bumpers College fund-raising program and to the overall mission of the university.”

Knight has spent a large part of her career working with volunteers and students including time spent overseeing the 4-H program in Houston, Mo., and serving as financial aid director at Metro Business College in Rolla, Mo. She holds a bachelor of science degree in agricultural communications from the University of Illinois.

Knight will transition to the director of development post over the next few weeks. Her official start date with the Bumpers College is April 2.
