An Evening in South India
Celebrate traditional South Indian culture from 6-8 p.m. today, Friday, March 29, at the Arkansas Alumni House.
South India is a treasure trove of rich cultural heritage, steeped in history and diversity that captivates the senses. From the intricate classical dance forms like Bharatanatyam to the soul-stirring melodies of Carnatic music, the cultural landscape of South India is a celebration of artistic expression.
The evening will come alive with the rhythmic beats of traditional dance forms, adding a vibrant layer of cultural richness to the celebration. This immersive experience is not just about the food and dancing; it's a genuine celebration of South Indian culture, inviting you to explore the traditions, colors and hospitality that make this region truly unique.
This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. This event is held in a venue that meets ADA standards. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend this event.
