Document Management System Upgrade Brings New Name and WebApp Location

IT Services will upgrade the document management system (currently ImageNow/WebNow) during extended maintenance from 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, until 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31. During the maintenance, ImageNow services and files will be unavailable.

When the upgrade is completed, the system will have a slightly different appearance and will display the new name Perceptive Content. Although the name is changing, the functionality and services will remain the same.

On Oct. 31, ImageNow software installed on department computers will run automatic updates, and the ImageNow WebApp will change to Perceptive Content WebApp at pcweb.uark.edu.

The university's document management system offers departments the ability to securely store and retrieve documents, route them through workflows, add annotations and digital signatures, and include retention policy information. The system also provides a way to create electronic forms, convert documents and extract data.

Departments and units interested in learning more about document management system can create a request in AskIT and select ImageNow from the Category drop-down menu.
