Dean Searches Set for Graduate School, School of Law, Bumpers College and Fulbright College

U of A Provost Terry Martin recently announced a timeline for dean searches for the Graduate School and International Education; the School of Law; the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences; and the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.

"Since being named provost, one of my first priorities has been addressing the interim positions and vacancies within the academic units across campus,"  Martin said. "I'm pleased to initiate each of these searches over the course of the next year to aid us in finding the best candidates to lead and advance the goals of each unit, as well as the university."

Graduate School and International Education
An internal campuswide search for the dean of the Graduate School and International Education will begin in February to permanently fill the position currently held by interim Dean Curt Rom. It is anticipated that campus interviews will be held in March or April. 

School of Law
A national search for the dean of the School of Law was initiated in Fall 2022 and temporarily paused. The search will resume this spring to permanently fill the position currently held by Dean Cynthia Nance. It is anticipated that campus interviews will be held this fall.

Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences
A national search for the dean of Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences will begin this spring to permanently fill the position currently held by interim Dean J.F. Meullenet. It is anticipated that campus interviews will be held this fall.

Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences
A national search for the dean of the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences will begin this summer to permanently fill the position currently held by interim Dean Kathryn Sloan. It is anticipated that campus interviews will be held in Spring 2024.

Additional announcements will be made once each search committee is appointed and as more information becomes available.
