Final Day to Apply for a Staff Senate Scholarship

Are you currently taking, or have you considered taking classes here at the University of Arkansas? If so, you may be eligible for scholarship support through the University of Arkansas Staff Senate Scholarship fund.

Today is the final day to apply!

Applications are available via the Spring 2021 Staff Senate Scholarship Application. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. Nov. 30. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Awards:  The number of scholarships to be awarded will be determined by the number of eligible applicants. Disbursement will be up to $250 for spring 2021 only.

Purpose: This award was developed to promote and encourage staff development through higher education.

Eligibility: Each applicant must be a 100 percent appointed, full-time University of Arkansas, Fayetteville staff employee. Applicants must also be employed by the University of Arkansas for at least one year prior to the scholarship deadline.

Criteria: The following criteria will be utilized to determine the award. Each applicant must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to receive the award;
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the fall semester in order to continue the scholarship for the spring semester;
  • Be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours of coursework per semester;
  • Express a desire to contribute to the university through further educational endeavors;
  • Demonstrate a need for financial assistance in the pursuit of further education;
  • Provide two references by submitting two Recommendation Forms; and
  • Finalists may be interviewed by the members of the Scholarship Committee.
