Chancellor's Virtual State of the University Address Set for Thursday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – One University Week continues Thursday as Chancellor Joe Steinmetz will deliver his annual State of the University address virtually to the campus community.
The address will begin at 11 a.m. on Oct. 15 and will be livestreamed on the University of Arkansas YouTube channel.
Chancellor Steinmetz plans to discuss his vision and goals for the next year and discuss major campus successes from the past year. He’ll also explain how the university has stayed focused on its academic mission amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
The U of A community can submit questions for the chancellor in the days before and during the State of the University address by emailing or sending a Teams chat to forums@uark.edu.
One University Week runs through Oct. 16, and will continue featuring other key university news updates including a preview of sesquicentennial events. The university will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its founding in 2021 and first day of classes in 2022.
