Newswire Ceases Publication During Holiday Break
The Arkansas Newswire will cease publication after Dec. 14, barring unforseen circumstances. Distribution will resume when university offices reopen in early January.
All registered student organizations, academic departments, auxiliaries, and research and outreach centers at the University of Arkansas may submit articles for publication on the news.uark.edu website and for distribution through the daily Arkansas Newswire email.
The Arkansas Newswire email includes both articles submitted to the university news site and events submitted to the university calendar.
Student organizations that receive funding from the Associated Student Government are asked to submit their articles to the Office of Student Activities at rso@uark.edu, which will then submit the article to the news.uark.edu website. The use of Arkansas Newswire is one of the benefits of being an RSO.
Other campus groups may submit articles online at news.uark.edu/articles/submit. The online form includes space for a headline and story, contact information that is published with the article, and JPG and PNG images that must be smaller than 5 megabyte in size. The form also includes options to add a related YouTube video or related links. Submitted articles will appear on the web and publish in the Newswire email on the date chosen by the submitter.
Events may be added to the university calendar at news.uark.edu/events/submit. Events that include the "Newswire" category will appear in the "Today's Events" section of the Newswire email on the day of the event.
