Winter Weather is Predicted: Alerts Will be Sent if Needed - Even on a Weekend
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The U of A has already experienced one light snow this fall – and this weekend forecast is calling for the possibility of more winter weather.
Under the university’s inclement weather policy, U of A administrators will meet to discuss the weather conditions and decide whether to close offices and cancel activities. This decision could affect Razorback Transit schedules, the University Libraries, the Arkansas Union and other places normally open on a weekend.
If a decision is made to close campus, a notification will be sent by phone, email and text.
The U of A also posts inclement weather information on its social media channels, its homepage, makes updates the Weather Information Hotline at 479-575-7000, and posts a recorded message on the U of A switchboard at 479-575-2000.
