Chili Cook-off at Facilities Management a Great Way to End a Chilly Week
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Been cold enough for you?
There’s no better way to warm up than a hot bowl of chili.
Facilities Management and the Northwest Arkansas Plumbing School are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week by hosting the 4th annual Chili Cook-off. A new Chili Champion will be crowned, and proceeds go to the U of A United Way.
Lunch is served between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 in the Facilities Carpenter Shop. For $5 you’ll get bowl of chili with or without a hot dog, fixin’s and a drink to cool your palate.
Everyone with a taste for chili – which is everyone, right? – is invited to come for lunch, sample all the entries, and – for an extra donation to the United Way -- vote for their favorite.
All proceeds go to the U of A United Way campaign.
The winner of the competition gets to keep the Chili Cook-off Trophy for a year, made by the craftsmen of the Facilities carpentry shop.
