Participants Needed: Study on Blood Biomarkers to Predict Muscle Mass Loss

Participants are needed for blood, muscle mass, and functional task performance assessment.

Men and women aged 40 years or over are wanted for participation in a research study examining the relationship of blood biomarkers (serum myostatin and IGF-1) with muscle mass, handgrip strength, and walking speed. All participants need to be in good health with no known cognitive impairment, no uncontrolled high blood pressure, and/or no type II diabetes.

If you qualify, you will be asked to report for one, 1.5 hour testing session. All testing will take place in the Exercise Science Research Center, located on the University of Arkansas campus.
