U of A to Change Drop/Withdrawal Tuition and Fee Adjustment Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Changes to University of Arkansas policies have been approved aligning the schedules for tuition and fee adjustments when a student drops a class, or classes, or withdraws from the university.

The tuition and fee adjustment schedule for dropping a class and withdrawing from all classes will now be the same.

The new schedules go into effect for the Spring 2019 semester.  The deadlines to drop a class or withdraw from the university are not impacted by this tuition and fee adjustment schedule change.  Students should also remain aware of the impact that dropping/withdrawing can have on their financial aid.

Self-Paced Online Courses
Students who wish to drop a Self-Paced Online Course must notify the Office of Credit Studies in writing. In most cases, students cannot drop themselves from a Self-Paced Online Course using the University's student information system. Drop requests must be made via email from the student's University of Arkansas email account and sent to drop@uark.edu, and the date of the email will be used to determine any applicable fee adjustments and what grade, if any, will appear on the student's official record. See the Self-Paced Online Course Calendar for details, including the last day for students to drop without a "W" (representing withdrawn) assigned and the last day to drop with a "W" assigned.
