Free Concert Kicks Off Celebration of Inclusion and Diversity in Arkansas
The Funk Factory will give a free concert from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, on the Union Mall.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – September is the kickoff of Celebrating Inclusion and Diversity in Arkansas on the University of Arkansas campus. In September the university will host a variety of events for the campus and community, beginning with a free concert from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, on the Union Mall. In case of rain the concert will be rescheduled to a later date.
The concert will feature music from Fayetteville’s Funk Factory Band, an eight-piece band performing the best party music crossing a variety of genres and generations.
The concert will be followed at 7 p.m. by the National Pan-Hellenic Council Convocation Step Show in the Arkansas Union Verizon Ballroom.
The concert is free and everyone is welcome. Admission to the Step Show is $5.
The September celebration is being organized by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Office for Faculty Development, the Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance and the Title IX Office, with contributions by volunteers from units across the U of A campus.
