A Paid Study for People Who Smoke

Do you smoke at least ten cigarettes per day? We are conducting a study on adult daily smokers. However, this is not a treatment study; we will not be providing smoking cessation services as a part of this research.

If you are between the ages of 30 and 65 and you smoke, you may be eligible to participate in a study that examines smoking behavior in daily life. As a participant in the study, you will be asked to come into the lab at the U of A campus AND download an app to your IPhone or Android smart phone and answer questions for one week as you go about your life.

Your time is important to us, and you will be compensated up to $150 for a one-week study: you will receive $20 for a two-hour session that will take place on the U of A campus, up to $120 for answering questions on your cell phone for one week, and $10 for attending a follow-up session.

If interested, please contact the Laboratory for Emotion and Addictive Processes at 479-310-0522 and ask about the Smoking Motivation study. You can also email LEAPuark@gmail.com for additional information, or visit our website at https://wordpressua.uark.edu/jcveille/smoking-motivation-study/ .

You will be compensated up to $150 for your participation.
