Athletic Training Graduate Receives Regional Award for Work

Steve Favia

Steve Favia, a University of Arkansas graduate, was recently named the 2018 Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association Clinic/Industrial/Corporate Athletic Trainer of the Year.

Favia joined Coastal Orthopedics in Bradenton, Florida, in 2012. He earned a Master of Athletic Training degree from the College of Education and Health Professions in 2011. A feature article about his work as head athletic trainer for Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School is available on the Coastal Orthopedics website.

Favia has more than seven years of private practice experience in athletic training including working with outpatient orthopedic patients and focusing his skills on occupational and industrial athletic training. He hold special certifications in ergonomics and functional movement.

The Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association is District IX of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
