Participants Needed for Study Examining Effect of Diet on Health in Families

The Department of Food Science at the University of Arkansas is recruiting families (defined as at least one parent/guardian) with at least one child between the ages of 6-12 years to participate in a nutrition study. Compensation will be provided. Families will receive all supplies and a monthly grocery stipend.

In addition, no family members can have food allergies or food intolerances. The study involves six visits to the University of Arkansas and the Food Science Department over a 12-14 week period and measurements of the following: height, weight, waist-to-hip ratio, blood collection via intravenous puncture; and 24-hour food intake records. The study may also require DXA for body composition for child. Families will be required to complete the study in full in order to receive compensation.
