A combined team from the Shollmier Fund and the Portfolio Management Class at the Sam M. Walton College of Business took first place in the Graduate Growth category of the world's largest student managed investment fund competition. The competition was part of the Global Asset Management Education (G.A.M.E.) VIII Symposium in New York on March 22-24.

The symposium was attended by more than 1,500 students from 157 colleges and universities from 46 U.S. states and 41 countries. It is the largest competition of its kind in the world.

The graduate students who formed part of the University of Arkansas team — Brandon Rush, Will Clark, Collins Knight and Juheon Song — celebrated the bull market in U.S. equities in front of the bronze bull on Broadway near the New York Stock Exchange.

Craig Rennie, associate professor of finance, is the faculty member who teaches these classes; Sergio Santamaria, senior investment research analyst at Garrison Financial Institute, led the group in New York again this year.
