U of A Geospatial Technologies Experts Present Research, Workshops at Regional Symposium

Researchers from the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies (CAST) at the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences will attend the Arkansas GIS Users Forum's upcoming 2017 Training and Symposium, presenting a variety of geospatial research topics alongside faculty and graduate students from the Department of Geosciences and the graduate program in Environmental Dynamics.

CAST researchers will also offer pre-conference workshops on Oct. 3, focusing on applications of geospatial technology.

The Symposium will take place in Eureka Springs, Arkansas from Oct. 4-6, with pre-conference workshops scheduled for Oct. 3. To register, visit www.argisusers.org/symposium.

The Arkansas GIS Users Forum is a non-profit organization that promotes the acquisition, application and availability of geospatial information and technologies in the state of Arkansas. The biennial Symposium brings together GIS users and professionals from all over Arkansas, providing a venue for discussions on current research, workshops designed to introduce or enhance geospatial skills, and a showcase of how industries and government agencies are using geographic information in Arkansas.
