Poet Olivia Gatwood Coming Oct. 3
University Programs will host Poet Olivia Gatwood at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, in the Anne Kittrell Art Gallery on the fourth floor of the Arkansas Union.

From Albuquerque, New Mexico, nationally touring poet Olivia Gatwood has been featured on HBO, Huffington Post, Verses & Flow, and much more. Currently residing in New York, she has been a finalist for Women of the World Poetry Slam, National Poetry Slam, and Brave New Voices. She has traveled nationally to perform and teach different workshops on gender equality and social justice. Gatwood's Amazon best-selling collection, New American Best Friend, reflects her experiences growing up in both New Mexico and Trinidad.
