Arkansas Historical Association Invites Proposals for Annual Conference

The Arkansas Historical Association invites presentation proposals for its 77th annual conference in Fort Smith, April 19-21, 2018. Fort Smith is well known for its border and frontier history, so the conference theme is Frontiers and Borders. 

The Arkansas Historical Association welcomes presentations not only on physical frontiers and boundaries in the Fort Smith area but also on all manners of interaction and exchange among peoples, nations, and cultures within and around Arkansas.  

Presentations will be limited to 20 minutes, and the association strongly encourages the use of audio-visual elements.

Proposals should be submitted by Oct. 20 and include a mailing address, phone number, and email address. Proposals may be submitted by email. Please contact the program chair with any questions. Presenters must be members in good standing of the Arkansas Historical Association.

The faculty members successfully completed the Teaching Portfolio and will be recognized at the Fall Teaching Awards ceremony hosted by the Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center and the Teaching Academy.
