College of Engineering Launches Online Master of Science in Engineering Management

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Students and professionals can learn to lead technology teams tackling complex engineering problems through an online program offered for the first time in fall 2017 by the College of Engineering.

The Master of Science in Engineering Management is designed for people with a bachelor's degree in engineering who seek to effectively lead and manage engineering processes such as research and development.

Greg Parnell, program director for the Master of Science in Engineering Management, explained the need for the new program.

"We developed this graduate program to give students the knowledge to become engineering leaders who can meet the needs of a fast-paced innovation-driven culture," said Parnell

The 30 credit hour program can be completed in 5 to 10 eight-week sessions. The flexibility of the program allows students to enter during any session and customize elective courses to their personal interests. Designed to accommodate either full-time students or working professionals, the program includes engineering and management courses.

Courses are taught by College of Engineering faculty and adjunct faculty with industry and government engineering management experience.
