ConnectU2 Prepares Freshman Commuters for Sophomore Year

Freshman commuters and their families are invited to learn about campus resources that will aid in the transition to a successful sophomore year at ConnectU2, an event hosted by Off-Campus Student Services from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, in Arkansas Union 508-510.

Freshman commuters and their parents will partake in small-group discussions with Off-Campus Student Services, CLASS-plus, SOOIE, the Multicultural Center, the Office of Financial Aid, the Treasurer's Office, and Student Support Servicesto make sure they understand what each office can offer them and that they are using campus resources to the fullest. The event will conclude with a commuter student panel from former freshman commuters that will offer helpful insight for students and their parents.

Students who attend are eligible to win Walmart gift cards.  The event is free and food will be provided.

"Off-Campus Student Services helped me to prepare for sophomore year when I was a freshmen commuter.  I am glad to be able to serve as a mentor in their programs and now share my knowledge with the next class of freshmen commuters," said Chelsea Clark, a member of the commuter student panel.

Students and families interested in attending this event should RSVP here by April 20. All freshman commuters are invited to attend this event regardless of if they attended ConnectU in the fall.
