Professionals Can Learn to Make Informed Decisions and Manage Risk
ROGERS, Ark. – Registration is open for a two-day workshop to help business owners, attorneys, managers, entrepreneurs and consumers learn to use research techniques to make business decisions and evaluate risk.
Due Diligence 101: Making Informed Decisions and Managing Risk Through Research is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays, May 10 and 24, at the Global Campus in Rogers, 3300 Market St.
The instructors are Kelly Sullivan, vice president of research for inVeritas, and Nathan Green, vice president of public relations for inVeritas.
Participants can register online, and the cost is $149. U of A faculty, staff and current students get a 10 percent discount. Group rates are also available.
Topics include:
- Identifying online brand reputation
- How to conduct general background checks
- Collecting relevant information before purchasing property
- Protecting interests by utilizing common public records databases
- Understanding the general framework of the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, which gives citizens the right to request and review government records and information
