Non-Traditional Students Recognized for Academic Excellence
Each fall and spring semester Off-Campus Student Services recognizes non-traditional undergraduate students who earn at least a 3.5 grade point average by awarding them a Certificate of Academic Excellence.
A non-traditional student or adult learner is defined as an undergraduate who meets one or more of the following criteria: 25 years or older, married, part-time student, returning to school after a period of time, has dependents, works full-time, is financially independent, or does not have a traditional high school diploma (G.E.D./homeschooled).
This past fall semester, over 600 non-traditional students were eligible to receive a Certificate of Academic Excellence. Read a list of the students who qualified.
The signed certificate affirms to adult learners that the institution is proud of their academic performance.
Off-Campus Student Services, a department within the Division of Student Affairs, educates and advocates for off-campus undergraduates and non-traditional students at the University of Arkansas to advance their success at the institution through programming, services, and campus and community resource referrals.
