Today marks 146 years since the University of Arkansas was founded in 1871.

A milestone this important deserves an extra-special celebration, and that's why faculty, staff and students all across campus are invited to join with alumni, parents and friends all around the world today by going All in for Arkansas.

The university's 2nd annual online giving event kicked off at 6:00 a.m. this morning and will conclude at 1:11 p.m. tomorrow.

The goal? To raise $187,100 in 1,871 minutes to support students and programs all across campus. You won't want to miss a birthday bash this big, so hop on over to the All in for Arkansas website to join the celebration and epic outpouring of Arkansas pride.

Faculty and staff can also participate through the university's online payroll deduction option.

Gifts of all sizes make a difference, and you can direct your donation to the college, school, program or scholarship fund of your choice. With matches and challenges cropping up throughout the event, it's never been easier to support your favorite campus cause while amplifying the impact of your gift.

And what birthday is complete without cake — and a visit from Miss America 2017, our very own Savvy Shields? All students, staff and faculty are invited to drop by the Union Mall between 1-3 p.m. today for a fun-filled party, hosted by the Student Alumni Association. Come early to get a picture with Miss America 2017, and stay for brief remarks and the official cake cutting at 1:30 p.m.

Be sure to follow the #Allin4Arkansas fun on social media, and thanks in advance for celebrating the U of A's 146th birthday in a way that makes a big, big difference!
