Emerging Leaders Student Applications Are Now Available

Applications for the Emerging Leaders Program are now available and due on Monday, March 27.

The Emerging Leaders program is an exciting and engaging leadership introductory and development program designed for first-year students and others seeking to develop their leadership skills. This four-week program provides students a chance to meet new people, explore new ideas, and become more involved in university-wide leadership opportunities including student government, student organization officer positions, residence hall leadership, and student mentor positions.

The Emerging Leaders program is open to all first-year students, but sophomores are encouraged to apply as well. The weeks are divided into differenttopics that have been found to be critical to developing strong leadership skills.

Week 1: Leadership Foundations

Week 2: Diversity, Ethics, & Leadership

Week 3: Communication, Conflict, & Leadership

Week 4: Professionalism & Leadership Application

The sessions will begin on Wednesday, March 29, and end on April 19. Interested students should click on the link: Emerging Leaders to find out more about the program and to apply online through HogSync.
