Honors College Hosts 150 Top Students for Fellowship Weekend
150 top high school students are on campus today to interview for Honors College Fellowships, each worth $70,000 over four years.

Today the Honors College will host 150 high-achieving students from high schools across Arkansas and beyond. These students have been selected from nearly 900 applicants to interview for Honors College fellowships that pay $70,000 over four years.
"Fellowship Weekend is our premier recruiting event — we want all of these top students to choose the University of Arkansas," said Noah Pittman, assistant dean of recruitment and retention.
The students, who must score 32 or higher on the ACT just to be eligible to apply, gathered in downtown Fayetteville yesterday to meet current Honors College fellows and tour the college's beautiful home in Gearhart Hall.
Today, in addition to interviewing with Honors College faculty members, the fellowship finalists are touring Hotz Honors Hall, attending honors classes, and meeting with current students to learn more about research, study abroad and service learning opportunities.
Up to 90 students will be selected to receive fellowships, but all of them come away winners: all fellowship finalists receive the Chancellor's Scholarship, worth $32,000 over four years.
