Women's Conference Early Registration Discounts Available Until Feb. 28

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The early registration deadline is Feb. 28 for the May 24 Women in the Workforce Conference at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

This one-day, interactive conference, offered by the U of A Global Campus, will provide female professionals an opportunity to enhance workplace skills and thrive as working professionals. Conference participants will interact with industry professionals about topics and skills applicable in today’s ever-changing global workforce.

Amanda Danish, director of Shopper Strategy at Saatchi & Saatchi X, will speak about “A Practical Approach to Conflict Resolution” in the morning, and Jamie Lair, controller for North America at Reckitt Benckiser, will share how to “Accelerate Your Career by Opening Yourself Up to Risk” in the afternoon. Several concurrent sessions occur throughout the day, and lunch will be provided.

Participants can register online by Feb. 28 and pay $210 or register later for $260. This is one of many professional and leadership programs tailored for women by the Global Campus in Rogers.

“More than 200 women from across the region gathered last year for this annual event that promotes the success of women in the workplace,” said Heather Sprandel, conference organizer for the Global Campus and adjunct instructor for the Sam M. Walton College of Business. “Early bird registration offers women a big discount to sign up in advance.”

While no additional discounts are available during early bird registration, U of A faculty, staff and current students are eligible for a 10 percent discount during regular registration.  Groups of three people or more must register by calling 479-464-2054 or emailing uarogers@uark.edu to receive additional discounts. For example, a person registering three or more people will pay $190 per person.

Sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are still available. The conference agenda and directions to the conference at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development are available on the Global Campus Rogers website.
